About Clearlux
Clearlux is a premium resin bound recycled glass surface, developed and manufactured in Melbourne. Recycled coloured glass chips are combined with a heavy duty UV stable resin and hand trowelled directly over existing surfaces to create a seamless, hard wearing finish.
The business is family owned and operated, with no distributors or subcontractors involved. The team that manufactures the product is the same team that installs it.
Made in Melbourne, made from recycled glass
Conventional pebble, stone, marble and quartz chip finishes are mined and predominantly imported from overseas. Clearlux is different. CRG manufactures the glass chip here in Melbourne using glass that would otherwise go to landfill.
Every project reduces waste glass going to landfill and reduces demand for mined and imported stone. It is a locally made surface designed for Australian conditions.
Installed over your existing surface
Clearlux is trowelled directly over what is already there, so there is no demolition and no removal cost. It can be applied over old or cracked concrete driveways, patios, stairways, walkways and pool surrounds, and over existing or damaged tile floors in domestic and commercial properties.
The surface is built to handle daily vehicle and foot traffic, resist UV fading, provide excellent slip resistance, and stay low maintenance with no loose stones and no weed growth.
Permeable by design
Unlike traditional loose stone surfaces, Clearlux is permeable. Water drains straight through the resin and glass rather than pooling on top.
On balconies the system is laid over a waterproofing base coat. Water still drains through the finish, then sits on the membrane below and runs off to the drain. That makes Clearlux a practical answer for leaking balconies over existing tile, concrete or timber, with a decorative surface on top rather than a patch up.
Twelve signature finishes
Clearlux comes in 12 signature finishes designed to suit a wide range of home styles. Every customer receives a free, no obligation on site consultation where physical samples are brought to the property, so colours can be viewed in natural light before any decision is made.
Custom colour for commercial and specified projects
For larger commercial clients the colour range is effectively unlimited. Colours and blends can be tailor made to match corporate branding, or specified by architects and designers to suit a particular scheme. Talk to us early if colour matching forms part of the brief.
